The Automobile today consist of many complex Electrical and Electronic Components. Currently, most automobile consist of not less than 30% control by Electronic whereas for luxury cars more than 70% are controlled by Electronic.

Modern technology has had a great impact on our lives. A mechanic/automotive technician can no longer rely on an experienced ear to detect and eliminate faults in automobiles.

To be proficient in this job, a mechanic/automotive technician must be well trained and continuously updated to keep abreast with the latest technologies incorporated in modern sophisticated vehicles.

A mechanic/automotive technician must have a through knowledge in the theories behind those technologies so that he can logically and accurately diagnose problem to determine what needs to be done and how it should be done.

He must also have a thorough knowledge and be skillful in using sophisticated servicing equipment demanded by the automotives technologies to maintain a vehicle optimum performance.

The Diploma in Automotives Technologies courses teaches and train you not only how to repair the latest module of automobiles such as Proton, Perodua, Honda, etc, but also train you the concept of 3S ( Sales, Services and Spare Parts) to fully equip you to become the automotive expertise by using the advanced automotive technology.

The Diploma in automotive is a comprehensive course where students will acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to fulfill City & Guides International UK Diploma requirements and the MLVK certification Levels 1,2 & 3 under the Ministry of Human Resources.

The course combines both theoretical knowledge and practical hands-on training in automotive technology. Extensive emphasis will be put on hands on training at the training centre and on job training at collaborated automotive service centers.

In addition, the course also provide essential business & management skills on the effectiveness to manage the entire automotive business & also managing of automotive sales & service dealerships.

Joint Collaboration

The Automotive Technology course is joint collaboration course between "The Automotive Training Academy" (TATA), a local Automotive Training centre & Times Academy (TA), a popular West Malaysia based Automotive Training Institute.

Students will be trained 8 months in Sabah & thereafter continue the remaining modules/courses to complete the 3S Diploma in main campus (Kajang, Selangor)

About times Academy Company Profiles

Established in 1998, Times Academy was officially opened by the Minister of Human Resources, Y. B. Datuk Dr. Fong Chan Onn on April 4, 2002.

Started with only a class of about 20 students in Kuala Selangor, We moved to Kwang Hwa High School in Klang and later to Kajang in 1999 upon approval as an accredited center of Majlis Latihan Vokasional Kebangsaan in the field of Automotive (P-115) four levels.

Today we have train and retrained more than five thousand mechanics from various states in Peninsular Malaysia and East Malaysia.
